Employed since 2017. Birkeland heads both Treasury and Funding & IR. Previously, he held the position as Finance Director with the insurer Storebrand. He has also worked as a researcher at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. Birkeland also received his Ph.D. in Economics.
Employed since 2021. Søfting is former CFO of SpareBank 1 Ringerike Hadeland. Previously worked in audit and consulting at Deloitte. Andrea Søfting holds a MSc in Audit and Accounting (state-authorised auditor) and a MBA in Management Controls, both from Norwegian Business School.

Former Deputy Head Risk Management at SIX Securities Services and Head of Risk Management at Oslo Clearing ASA, Norsk Hydro and Eksportfinans ASA and experience from Ministry of Finance and Norges Bank. He holds a Masters degree in Economics from Université de Fribourg, Switzerland.

Bache came to KBN from position as director of Norges Bank's secretariat and has previously worked as IT Director of NBIM (the Norwegian oil fund) and administration director of in the department for monetary policy in Norges Bank. Bache holds an MBA from the Norwegian Business School (BI).
Employed since 2014. Previously Senior Relationship Manager in Nordea, responsible for public sector customers. Prestvik has held the position as head of treasury in several Corporates. He holds a Master’s degree from Norwegian School of Management and has leadership development from Harvard Business School.
Employed since 2012. Steinsland previously worked as partner and advisor in PR agency Kreab Gavin Anderson. He has been employed as a financial journalist in various print and broadcast media. Steinsland has a finance degree in from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
