Social sustainability

The social dimension of sustainable development is about ensuring that there is a good and fair basis for everyone to have a decent life.

For KBN in its capacity as an employer and a purchaser of goods and services, social sustainability is a question of setting high expectations with regard to ethics and sustainability within our own organisation as well as in relation to our customers, suppliers and collaboration partners. Social sustainability is closely linked with financial and environmental sustainability. KBN’s work to provide stable access to financing on reasonable terms, to highlight and help reduce risk, and to offer a lower interest rate for climate friendly projects helps municipalities to provide their citizens with important welfare services efficiently and so to reduce differences and create opportunities.
